One of our clients is a big retail group of companies which was established in 1992. They are the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Their business spans 13 international markets and employs over 30,000 people. They own and operate 19 shopping malls, 12 hotels and three mixed-use communities in MENA. They have leisure facilities and family entertainment centres as well.

Due to their growing needs, they are looking to hire a Sales Account Manager who will be responsible for managing the sales of the company’s products and services in a defined geographic area, province or country.

This person would have Sales Executives reporting to him and his responsibility is to ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long term sales and earnings.

Responsibilities:
- Work with Marketing to ensure consistent collaterals and brochures both online and offline.
- Responsible for obtaining profitable results from the sales function.
- Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising senior management on maximizing business relationships
- Responsible for managing the sales team, developing a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organization’s presence to corporates, banking institutions, Telco’s, hotels and any other industry sectors as qualified by the Sales Account Manager.
- Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan, specifically advising on: realistic forecasts for each product and territory (based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort), and sales promotions.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for catered events, PR events, ticket deals, gift cards and vouchers.
- Reviews progress of the sales function and accurately forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams. Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff’s productivity and formulates all sales policies, practices and procedures
- Collaborates with Regional Marketing Manager to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines
- Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
- Build a strong network of clients, establish and maintain close relationship with key existing and potential customers for corporate sales and bulk voucher purchases.
- Negotiates new contracts and liaises with company’s ventures Legal to have these executed and manage the renewal of existing contracts
- Works with the Ecommerce Manager to ensure that information relating to ticketing deals is correct on the website and that the offers are available for customers to use
- Invoice clients and ensure that customers pay within payment terms.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 3-5 years sales management experience
- Ability to identify operational gaps and develop solutions to overcome and ability to provide high level training and development to staff
- Strong knowledge of sales and contract administration and experience in setting up/implementing new sales channels
- Telecommunications, entertainment, leisure or closely related technical industry experience (preferred)
