Sales Engineer - Oil and Gas Separations (Flow and Filtration Division)

The Sr. Engineer/Engineer – Sales – Oil & Gas Separations has overall responsibility for Sales for the Oil & Gas Separations business from their assigned territory/accounts. He/She will be responsible for exploring business opportunities, identifying customers and negotiating deals to achieve set monthly sales and annual revenue. The role involves networking with existing and prospective customers, building and maintaining long-term relationships to acquire new business and improve the company’s market position.

Essential Job Functions:
- Develops and manages project sales, distribution sales, direct accounts, contract negotiations.
- Maximizing sales revenue of established accounts as well as targeting new business opportunities and new customers through the development of key personal relationships.
- Ability to interface and make technical presentations and demonstrations to clients and customers.
- Work closely with internal teams in bid & proposal process and clearly understanding all customer needs and expectations.
- Strong understanding of process engineering & comfortable with reading process flow diagrams or P&IDs.
- Strong technical sales and account management & project management experience.
- Work with end-users and internal teams to bring ideas and innovation together to develop new solutions, grow market-share and penetrate new markets.
- Understanding of competitive marketplace.
- Expected to keep the sales leadership team and engineering teams informed of all market intelligence relating to competitors, products and opportunities.
- An ability to anticipate and plan for changing trends in the market and develop the sales tools & account plans to achieve the sales targets & goals.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry (midstream, downstream and/or chemical processing)
- This position will be responsible for driving performance against plan for assigned territories/accounts and critical breakthrough objectives including top line sales, new customer acquisition, and new product sales.
- Leads key account sales to drive account penetration efforts for targeted markets and applications in their assigned territory/accounts.
- Represent the company at trade shows
- Maintain excellent communications externally and internally including regular sales and monthly reports.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience sales role
- Technically sound in Oil & Gas Process Solutions
- Experience in Oil & Gas segment selling process solutions
- Specific Skills: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- International experience preferred
- Self-motivated, and able to produce high quality results within time and budget constraints
