Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A leading worldwide shipping group with a diversified fleet of more than 400 vessels operating in 150+ countries all across 5 continents. A major global economic player with a multi-billion US dollar revenue.

Position Summary: Under the responsibility of the Global Agencies Network in the Head Office and in the Regional Office Abu Dhabi UAE, you manage and optimize the organization, and develop the various activities of the agency in the area.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- While managing and organizing the various departments in the agency, you produce sales and financial budgets and you ensure an excellent client service and the optimal use of the Group’s equipment.
- You prepare reports needed by the various departments (Management Board, Head Office) and maintaining regular relationships with Head Office and the Agency Department in HO.
- You implement the Group’s rules and regulations (administrative, financial & operational procedures etc.) and ensure the proper use of IT systems.
- Being the main point of contact for the Global Accounts, main suppliers and local authorities, you work towards finding new development opportunities.
- Furthermore, you constantly propose solutions and action plans to further develop and improve the local business.

Requirements

- Postgraduate degree (5+ years) in Business, Management or Logistics as well as minimum of 5 years of professional experience in maritime / shipping activities in Head Office or an Agency.
- Experience selling to large organizations.
- Strong drive, full autonomy, leadership and negotiation skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Possess structured management skills as well as strategic vision and strong analytical skills.
- Fluency in English and ideally Arabic.
- Proficient in computer tools and have a good command of IT tools.
- Well-organized, self-reliant with entrepreneurship skills.
- Interpersonal skills and good sense of communication.
