Job description / Role
Client, who are a leading publication house are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to lead their Classifieds team. This role will be to continuously develop the classified sectors but also be responsible for directing, motivating, coaching and ensuring the training & development of staff.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor both individual and team performance.
- Maintaining existing customer base whilst developing new business opportunities in line with business standards of performance.
- The Classified Sales Manager is responsible for all Controllers, Telesales & Field Sales Executives
- Review the revenue/volume performance against target and budget on a weekly basis and take corrective action as required.
- To ensure effective, timely and relevant communication with all members of the team.
- Chair weekly team meetings to ensure there is an adequate flow of new ideas and initiatives to improve volume and revenue.
- Assist the Head of Advertising in ensuring departmental costs are kept within budgetary requirements.
- To ensure that the department is adequately staffed at all times thus maintaining optimum levels of efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Sales Management experience in a diverse multi cultural environment (essential).
- Proven track record in Sales.
- Advertising experience (preferable)
- Knowledge of Of UAE markets.
Behavioural Skills:
- Extremely tuned to emotional intelligence and great people skills with capability to develop relationships across all hierarchies.
- Very well spoken (written & oral communication skills) with a personality to match and well evolved in fine self presentation ability.
- Be very personable with extremely high degree of inter-personal skills.
