Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose: Plan, organize, lead and control his sales team in order to achieve maximum sales and optimum distribution of the company’s products.

Major Accountabilities:
- Open new accounts and exploit all sales opportunities, promote aggressively the sale of the company brands and packages in existing accounts and at all special events taking place in his area.
- Ensure that subordinates achieve and surpass their daily, monthly and yearly sales objectives by assigning daily sales targets and key indicators and take appropriate action.
- Monitor the subordinates’ daily sales and shortages, rectify problem situations, ensure daily sales targets are achieved and approved shortage limits are not exceeded.
- Route ride with the subordinates in order to monitor their implementation of the Company’s policies and standards pertaining to Sales and Merchandising.
- Establish routes; plan the proper daily and weekly sequence of stops for each route so that travel time, mileage and vehicle-running costs are minimized; ensure that the customers are provided with a regular and efficient service.
- Implement and update the route and journey cycle plan cost effectively to achieve 100% coverage of all outlets.
- Ensure that all products are merchandised and displayed routinely during the sales call.
- Issue of Point of Sale Material to subordinates and ensure that they are well placed and maintained.
- Complete regular I.T.M.O. surveys and review with the Sales Manager.
- Monitor the competition’s activity (pricing, new packaging, promotions, point of sale material, trucks, etc.) and report to management.
- Ensure that approved Company Policy is followed in recommending the extension of credit and in collecting accounts; assist management in collection of all past due accounts in his area and grant no credit until proper approval has been received.
- Control the placement of company coolers, ensure best possible location in the outlet and monitor sales volume in these outlets.
- Handle customer complaints in a professional matter.
- Ensure that any route salesman leaving the company (leave or termination) clears any shortages and accounts for & returns all company property before final salary settlement is released.

Requirements

- Has a UAE DL
- Prior experience of minimum 5-7 years’ sales experience in FMCG sector and at least 2 years in Supervisory role, handling a team.
