SCADA Technician

Job description / Role

Carries out a range of tasks related to the skilled installation, maintenance, repair, operation and testing of all electronic systems and instrumentation in all areas of the Mussafah Base, including the Grinding Plant, pumping stations, substations etc.

Equipment and Systems include the Computer Control System, the PLC & SCADA Operating System, Fire Alarm System, Inergen System, VESDA System, Access Control System, Public Address System, HVAC System, Gas Detection System and the Equipment include Battery Charger, Metal Detectors and Electronic Control Panels; Vibration Monitors, Laboratory Equipment and various Electronic Sensors.

Work also includes logic programming, modification and adjustment in the SCADA program, visual and physical checking of systems during operation, cleaning and replacing component parts, testing and resetting systems and making any necessary repairs.

Requirements

- Completion of Secondary (12 years) education, plus 2 years' Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 4 years' experience in instrumentation maintenance in an industrial environment, including experience in Computer Control Systems in a manufacturing environment.

The facility currently known as Mussafah Offshore Supply Base (MOSB) is strategically located at the Industrial hub of Mussafah approximately 40kms by road from the city center of Abu Dhabi.
