Role: Scaffolder

Contract Duration: 3 months
Job Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Purpose:
To erect and dismantle temporary metal scaffolding on structures and building sites, so that other people can work at height and carry out their jobs safely and to set up scaffolding around a structure, or inside a building undergoing construction, renovation or demolition.

Key Responsibilities:
• Installing handrails, guardrails, and other fall protection equipment as needed according to OSHA guidelines.
• Inspecting scaffolding for safety defects such as cracks, breaks, missing bolts, loose boards, etc.
• Calculating the number of materials needed to complete a job, such as lumber and nails.
• Operating cranes, forklifts, pulleys, hoists, and other machinery used to lift materials into place.
• Inspecting scaffolds for damage and replacing boards as needed.
• Installing wood forms and pouring concrete for structures such as sidewalks, patios, basement walls, and swimming pools.
• Determining where to place scaffolding based on blueprint plans provided by a construction manager.
• Installing scaffolding supports, including posts, crossbeams, and brace.
• Read and interpret blueprints or work orders to determine the type of scaffolding needed and follow safety regulations.
• Assemble prefabricated scaffoldings using clamps, bolts, and other fasteners.
• Position scaffolding planks to create a working platform and secure them in place.
• Install outriggers, braces, and guardrails to stabilize the scaffolding.
• Inspect completed scaffolding to ensure it meets safety standards and load-bearing requirements.
• Dismantle scaffolding after use and return all materials to storage.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have:
• CISRS certification is mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a scaffolder.
• OSHA certification.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Years of Experience:
• Minimum two years of experience.
