Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Scientist - Arabic Speaking

Job description / Role

Global branded MNC requires an Arabic speaking Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join its technical team, assisting on a regional rebranding project. This is a one year contract with an instantly recognisable brand.

The role of the Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be to assist with the management in all areas of food related activity pertinent to re-branding, packaging, labelling, product registration, municipality and local law adherence etc. This is a regional role overseeing 11 markets in the MENA region.

If you have food industry experience within the technical/labeling function and have a keen eye for detail this is the role for you.

Working closely with your manager you will be exposed to and proactively involved in:
- The organisation of product artwork and labelling, ensuring they are compliant to all labelling rules and regulations across the MENA region
- Ensuring that all ingredients and formulas are in full compliance with the relevant laws and regulations of each operational market
- Coordinate the labelling and packaging templates for all 11 markets
- Support and guide the preparation & submission of documentation process for all regulatory agencies and external bodies
- Reporting and coordinating all company responses to regulatory inquiries

Whilst this role is initially for a one year assignment, there is the possibility of this being extended or turning permanent. You will be working with some of the best and brightest in their fields and will be exposed to blue chip operating standards.

Requirements

- A bachelor’s degree within a technical area such as; food science, biology, chemistry, pharmacology, nutrition or packaging
- Minimum of two years post-graduation experience within the food & beverage industry in a technical position
- Arabic & English reading, writing & speaking language skills
