Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As the Scrum Manager within the Project Management Office, you will work with the senior leadership team on assigned projects delivering through till completion. You will receive regular ad-hoc requests and using available information, develop detailed business cases sharing your recommendations and justifications with the executive team.

Description

* Collaborate with the Executive Team to respond to ad-hoc project requests, establishing robust frameworks and developing business cases for recommendation to leadership
* Facilitate and guide Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives
* Ensure the effective implementation of Scrum principles and practices as defined within the PMO
* Foster a collaborative and transparent work environment that promotes continuous improvement, efficiency and effectiveness
* Identify and remove impediments / roadblocks that may hinder the team's progress
* Manage the product backlog, ensuring its prioritisation and refinement
* Track project progress, maintain burndown charts and other relevant metrics
* Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in agile project management, using this knowledge to coach and mentor team members on best practice processes

Requirements

* A minimum of a bachelor's degree from a reputable university. A Prince2, PMP or Scrum qualification highly preferred
* A UAE national with family book
* Proven experience as a Scrum Master or similar agile role (3+ years). Experience in natural resources industry a significant plus
* In-depth understanding of Scrum principles, practices and frameworks alongside proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Jira, Trello)
* Strong experience in facilitating and leading Scrum ceremonies
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members at all levels
* Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Experience working in an international environment
