Job description / Role
General Description: Manage Daman products in the commercial phase, support growth of Daman business through the development of new products and continuous enhancement of the existing product portfolio and have overall performance accountability on the operation and performance of the section
Standard duties:
- Support development and implementation of a product management strategy according to the company strategy, set goals and initiate measures to reach these goals and to improve the overall section’s performance.
- Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against section’s goals.
- Responsible for a result-oriented management and development of people and resources, including provision of a strong day-to-day leadership presence involving resource allocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staff meetings.
- Manage the department expenditure and requirements, keeping in mind its impact and utilisation on the financial budget.
- Foster organisational culture by establishing quality awareness and service orientation and complying and implementing processes such as Project Management and Change Management.
- Initiate, develop, implement and ensure adherence of policies and procedures.
- Promote and support the recruitment and development UAE Nationals to significantly contribute to Daman’s strategic goals
Department Specific:
- Monitor product launch, product and process quality and the success of product launches
- Define and adjust marketing mix and identify improvement potentials on products and process level
- Actively monitor and steer product performance and manage product phase out projects
- Support growth of Daman business by supporting development of new and continuous enhancement of the existing product portfolio
- Responsible for all product related issues within the whole organisation in accordance with underwriting guidelines
- Constantly review the competitors activity in terms of their products and report the relevant information to the management
- Manage configuration of packages in MedNext as per defined specifications
- Provide expertise and support to other departments and plan, execute and contribute to other projects as required
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of related experience; minimum 3 years of which should be in a managing supervisory position
- Related experience in health insurance product management
- Experience in health insurance or insurance concepts in general is a must
- Bachelor degree in Business Management or any related field
- Master's degree is a plus
