Senior Accountant

Job description / Role

Objectives:
- Precise Management
- Actual full cost management
- Healthy relations with all banking and finance partners

Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
- Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
- Analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
- Assist with financial and tax audits
- Assist with preparing corporate reporting requirements
- Assist with quarterly producer commission reports; analyzing and correcting discrepancies
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
- Other projects as assigned

Reporting to: Top management
Subordinates: Secretary, Admins, Junior Accountants
Other interactions: Sales department, Management, Banks, and Government.
Duration: permanent
Desired start date: 1st of October, 2015
Probation: 6 Months
Working Hours: All week except Friday and public Holidays (9am - 6pm)
Gross monthly base salary: 8,000 AED Plus Minus - Depending on Candidate qualifications.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of accounting theory
- CPA designation preferred
- 5+ years accounting/finance experience; CPA a plus, but not required
- Experience in the Trading industry preferred
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
