Job description / Role

Senior Accountant, AED 12-15,000 per month

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. You must have expertise in end-to-end accounting and a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting and all transactions of bookkeeping. The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage the general accounting of the company and ensure cost controls in line with budgets, payables and receivables are managed thoroughly for efficient operations. At least 4 years’ experience within the UAE is essential. Description:

• Maintain accurate financial records using company accounting software
• Prepare entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses
• Monthly financial statement preparation, including income and cash flow statements
• Summarize financial status with balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice settlement
• Review and oversee accounts receivables
• Reconcile all company bank accounts and credit card transactions
• Handle monthly payroll, overtime, reimbursements, and petty cash
• Coordinate shipment processes for accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT & Corporate Tax)
• Prepare for internal and external audits, organizing accurate financial records
• Generate error-free accounting reports and regular financial statements
• Analyze financial data and monitor cash flow
• Identify errors, suggest improvements, and ensure legal compliance
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies for internal controls
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal obligations
• Perform other ad hoc tasks and reporting as required

Salary:
AED 12,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or commerce, an advanced degree in accounting would be an advantage
• CPA or a similar professional qualification would be highly advantageous
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience with 4 years UAE experience, it would be an advantage if that experience was within a logistics company
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Proficient in excel and having used similar accounting software like Sage
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrate leadership abilities and a good team player
• Deadline-oriented with ability to work under pressure
• Proactive, with leadership and supervisory experience
• Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Strong work values and committed to confidentiality
• Must currently reside in the UAE
