Senior Aircraft Technician

Job description / Role

To perform the maintenance Inspection and documentation in the AIRCRAFT maintenance section and to carry out shift leader duty.

- Perform and assist technicians in AIRCRAFT maintenance
- Use of skills and experience in auditing to participate in a vigorous program of inspections.
- Assist Inspection Specialists and Inspection Leaders.
- Planning inspections, identify audit quality issues, Gathering and organizing information to identify and support audit quality issues,
- Researching technical issues, and providing feedback and suggestions for improving the inspections process based on increasing inspections experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work with little or no supervision, including the ability to assume additional responsibility with minimal supervision
- Prepare technical data, reports and follow procedures, drawings, manuals, and other required publications.
- Follows recommendations with respect to new procedures, work practices and staff training.
- Coordinates within the department
- Ensure and comply safety, health and environmental procedures.

Requirements

* Technical Diploma or equivalent & Aircraft Maintenance training
* 5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance
* Technical knowledge of Aviation products and materials.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with effective problem solving abilities
* Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organisation and external customers
