Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A Senior Associate for internal audit services assisting in the delivery of services to local and multinational clients. They are trained to specialize in the financial services industry, (either/ combination of Asset Management, Insurance, Banking and Capital Markets). The Senior Associate works as part of a project or engagement team and reports to the concerned Engagement Manager and Engagement Leader.

Responsibilities of the Senior Associate include, but are not limited to:
- Participating in risk assessment, planning, and execution of the audit plan including a review of all policies and procedures.
- Prepare engagement audit programs and submit it to Internal Audit Manager for approval.
- Self-development/ reading of the client’s industry in general and client’s business specifically
- Plan and execute assigned internal audits of operational, financial, administrative activities, contracts, and major projects.
- Evaluate internal control process and whether Company units are performing their planning, accounting, operational, custodial, and control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies and procedures, and in a manner consistent with approved objectives and accepted standards of business / industry practice.

Requirements

The Senior Associate should be holding a Bachelors degree in accounting from a reputable university. It is preferable that he/ she holds a Chartered Accountancy, CPA, ACCA or CIA qualification or be working towards CIA, CPA or ACCA certification and this is an essential prerequisite for progression to the next level. 4-5 years’ experience, preferably big four.

He/she needs to have strong oral and written English communication skills, a commitment to exceptional client service, creative problem solving ability and an auditor’s professional skepticism as well as a consultants analytical skills.

Prior Internal Audit experience is necessary, preferably in one of the Big 4s.

Skills:
- Proficiency in Risk Based Audit methodology.
- Good in writing Internal Audit reports.
- Creating clear working papers to support observations.
- Ability to attend meetings and lead discussions with client.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
