Senior Claims Consultant - Qatar

Currie & Brown has a range of opportunities within the Middle East region and is currently seeking Senior Claims Consultants to work on various projects in Qatar.

Due to the nature of the work, the Senior Claims Consultant may on occasion need to travel across the region or perform duties outside the country on scheduled appointments.

The job holder must be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Analyse and evaluate contractual issues and disputes
- Provide contractual guidance
- Prepare position and recommendation papers
- Develop negotiation strategy on contractual issues
- Prepare proposals for new opportunities for Currie & Brown
- Deliver the services as set out by the terms of commission appointment
- Undertake and perform services adhering to international best practice and the Standards of the RICS
- Adhere to Corporate Social Responsibility
- To represent Currie & Brown in a professional and businesslike manner at all times

Requirements

- The Senior Claims Consultant will hold a relevant degree (Quantity Surveying) and will be professionally qualified to MRICS level and MCIArb and ideally with LLM or MSc
- You will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the construction industry and at least 5 years’ experience in claims, specifically major construction projects
- Expert knowledge of contracting principles and practices
- Expert knowledge in Contract Administration, VO’s, claims, procedures, payments
- Expert knowledge of contract negotiations
- Expert knowledge of FIDIC Form of Contracting in all its forms
