WSP Middle East are currently seeking an experienced, strategically minded and results driven Energy expert to support our clients across energy advisory and clean energy transitions.

Your new role, what's involved?
* Consult client in various parts of its value chain across Energy Efficiency; Energy Demand Side Management; Energy Strategy, Policy, and Frameworks; Circular Economy and Net-Zero
* Developing and managing energy framework programs, climate action plans, strategies, performance targets, and policies for our clients
* Consulting complex and challenging ongoing projects across; the power & utilities value chain, smart infrastructures & cities utilities, green hydrogen, smart meters & digital grid, sustainability living program, industrial energy symbiosis, renewable energy & storage integration, and electricity & water demand response
* Responsible for providing technical expertise and preparing templates to implement energy management and asset management system, such as ISO 50001 and ISO 55001.
* Responsible to conduct energy audits across built-environment and industries.
* Responsible for data gathering and analysis, market research, drafting reports & presentations, support bids, and communicating findings to the wider team
* Identifying and evaluating opportunities to achieve energy, GHG and resource reductions
* Manage multiple projects and project teams concurrently
* Lead and manage client meetings and presentations
* Create, manage and review client deliverables and reports with the support of fellow team members
* Proactively engage new and existing clients in the regional market with respect to business development
* Develop proposals that correspond to client needs and which appropriately consider commercial and technical inputs/risks
* Assist the Energy Advisory Lead to identify new service opportunities and offerings
Requirements
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Preferably >7 years' experience in energy-related consulting with expertise in the Middle East as an added advantage.
* Advanced knowledge across; Renewables and Energy storage, Waste to Energy, Hydrogen, Energy Synergies, Phasing out strategies, Baseline studies and readiness, Cooling strategies, DSM plan implementation, PMO setup and design future PMO capabilities, Path to net-zero (Energy Storage and generation sector), and Clean energy investments.
* Relevant Certifications will be advantageous such as (not limited to); Certified Energy Manager, ISO 50001 and 55001 Auditor, ASHRAE Level 1 and 2 Auditor, GHG and Carbon accounting, and Climate action.
* Experience in circular economy principles and life cycle assessments is advantageous
* Understand energy modelling and can interpret modelling results
* Strong oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to communicate results via Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and related software, and craft compelling presentations and reports (Arabic writing/ speaking is advantageous)
* Flexible and open to work with the wider Environment and Sustainability disciplines
