Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading organisation in the UAE, is currently looking for a Senior Contracts Engineer for their growing team in Dubai.

The key responsibilities for this role are; to provide high level of understanding of legal and technical issues in order to resolve disputes and resolve complex commercial issues; work on departmental commercial activities including tendering procedures, change management, contract preparation, negotiation of terms & conditions and providing practical commercial solutions to any claims or disputes; advise user departments in relation to contract process management to ensure all commercial activities are carried out in line with the company contracting guidelines; and independently lead the technical team in the preparation of sourcing strategy, tender board memo’s and post contract performance reviews.

Requirements

Ideal candidates must have more than 10 years’ tendering, contracts and administration experience in oil and gas operations, preferably with engineering and/or drilling experience.

Must-have skills include but are not limited to the following: firm negotiator with an intimate knowledge of contract laws and industry practices especially in relation to oil and gas contract terms and conditions; excellent understanding of contract and legal terms; high level of commercial and technical knowledge; highly effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication; high proficiency in written and spoken English; computer literate, working knowledge of Microsoft office packages essential; and desirably with working knowledge of ERP commercial modules.
