Senior Control Systems Engineer

Job description / Role

An urgent requirement has become available to work on a permanent, residential basis for a Major International Operating Company as a Senior Control Systems Engineer. As the Senior Control Systems Engineer you will be responsible for Plant Reliability in relation to Instrument and Control equipment, including the Monitoring, Preventative Maintenance, Installation and Troubleshooting of the onshore refinery. This will be with a particular focus on the technical guidance and support to sustain electrical asset integrity and reliability.

As a Leading International Operator, the company are renowned for producing some of the world`s most progressive Oil and Gas projects. They hold a number of key assets within the region and take great care in staff upkeep, which is echoed in their retention rates.

Requirements

- Bachelor`s Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (Higher would be advantageous)
- Working knowledge of downstream refineries or the petrochemical industry
- Extensive experience in installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of Instrumentation
- Understanding of a number of Control Systems, including DCS, ESD, FandG, PLC and SCADA
- Familiarity of Computer Maintenance Management Systems, ideally MAXIMO
- Good spoken and written knowledge of English, with a basic understanding of Arabic
- Exposure to Middle Eastern projects would be advantageous but is not essential
