We are looking for someone who can help in the trading business as sales forecaster and convert this into demand after validating the forecast with sales team and shipment /stocks.

The business is around USD70M, where canned foods sourced from various parts of the world is shipped to our distributors in Middle East and North Africa. Typically my client has 2 distributors, one for each brand in each market/country.

The lead time for these products are typically 2-3 months, giving us a challenge of being very agile or having a good forecast accuracy.

This position has become available due to a change in culture that is happening within my clients organisation. The company is trying to mold itself around a robust S&OP process, and a robust forecasting/ demand planner is the first vital step towards this as candidate will be the key pillar for the shop process.

Understanding the alignment of all functions in the process, and integrating the details to map out the architecture of this function will be one of the key challenges for the Candidate. Expectation is for the candidate to study sales pattern, draw up the in- market forecast and align or challenge the sales managers with his/her findings.

The candidate will be starting the process from scratch and leading the process from inception to completion.

Candidate will have a direct reporting line to the Trading Director as well as liaising heavily with the sales Management

Requirements

Candidate need minimum 5 years of experience within a multi national FMCG (f&b) company. Having previously been heavily involved in the implementation and execution of S & OP process and procedures, Demand Planning Areas and Marketing and sales Analysis. Candidate needs to be Degree educated. exposure in the GCC is an advantage.
