Senior Devops Engineer

Job description / Role

Destinations of the World is a B2B travel industry wholesaler with the Head Office in Dubai and branches in other countries like in the Middle East- Africa, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Americas.

We are expanding and in this perspective we are looking for Senior Devops Engineer to be based in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement IT Infrastructure in projects and guarantee that a project goes into production with the right environments, monitoring, documentation, backup, disaster recovery tests, knowledge transfer and training
- Provide IT Infrastructure design, planning and costs for projects and 2nd Support level for server, network, workplace, storage, cloud infrastructure administration as well as solve issues or implement changes with high level of complexity
- Provide reporting projects status working closely with project managers
- Identify risks and provide solutions to them
- Control capacity and performance issues for server, network, workplace, storage, cloud infrastructure administration, provide solutions and implement changes
- Update and tune MySQL instances in a high volume environment
- Responsible for the maintenance of the databases, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery management

Requirements

- Undergraduate Level Degree in IT or similar or equivalent experience
- At least 2 IT Certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
- High level of English
