Job description / Role
EMR is an emerging markets foremost provider of recruitment solutions specialised in most industrial segments and key functions. We are currently working with one of the largest retailers within GCC, with over 20 stores across the region.
Our client is urgently looking for a Senior IT Project Manager who will effectively supervise principal IT activities, take part in executive leadership, planning and policy making as well as establish mission, vision, objectives and KPIs that are consistent with business plans and strategies, ensure effective communication, target the fulfillment of company goals and give quality support and guidance to employees.
The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the key IT activities related to IT strategy, IT governance and management, IT operations and Information Security for the group
- Serving as a member of the executive leadership team as well as on all relevant planning and policy making committees
- Setting the mission, vision, objectives and KPIs for the overall IT department in line with the group’s business plans and strategic objectives
- Defining and maintaining optimal organisational structure for the IT function so that resources are optimally utilized and that smooth and efficient communication is maintained
- Leading IT strategic and operational planning activities to achieve the company’s goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future IT systems across the organization
Requirements
- 10-12 years’ broad IT experience within a large organization; with experience in setting up and managing major ERP Solutions (Oracle, SAP) and other point of sales, retail driven business intelligence software and tools. MENA based candidates / experience working in MENA region preferred
- 5 to 10 years’ Management / Leadership experience within an IT environment; with experience of managing major IT installation or expansion projects
- Candidates with MBA in Computer Science or holding similar degrees preferred
- Candidates with the following certifications preferred: MCSE, CNE, CISCO, ITIL, PMP
- Broad range of IT experience covering IT infrastructure, IT planning, communications and IT operations
- Knowledge on emerging technological applications
- Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
- Strong level interpersonal and analytical skills
- Conflict management and ability to work under pressure
- Organization alignment and change management experience
