Senior Director, Marketing Communications - Healthcare - Abu Dhabi

Our client, a leading Healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Director for Marketing and Corporate Communications. You will be directly reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

This position is responsible for leading, developing, coordinating and monitoring comprehensive marketing and communications strategies and tactics for the Client. This position is also responsible for analyzing and evaluating marketing performance outcomes and recommending changes to optimize the Client’s competitive position. This position will lead four main areas: 1) Marketing (including: Service Line Marketing, Advertising and Corporate Marketing) 2) Corporate Communications (including: Internal Communications, Public Relations and Media) 3) Events and Sponsorships (including: Internal and External events as well as the client’s Conference Centre) and 4) Digital (including: Social Media, SEO, SEM, Website, App development, among others).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides marketing and communications vision, innovation and leadership.
- Formulates marketing and communications strategies based on environmental analysis, market research, competitive analysis and operational availability.
- Leads the marketing and communications yearly planning to develop strategies, tactics and budget and presents the plans to senior leadership for endorsement.
- Develops communications strategy and key messaging, crisis communications and issues management, reputation management, and executive communications.
- Directs external communications, to include public relations, media relations, community relations, and physician relations.
- Sets the organization strategy and oversees internal communications, to include employee communications, and intranet development.
- Leads the implementation of the Client’s marketing objectives, to include service line marketing, advertising, branding and logo management, market research and planning, as well as creative service design.
- Directs the Client’s digital strategy including intranet, internet, social media platforms and SEO/SEM among others.
- Leads the Client’s sponsorship strategy and execution ensuring all opportunities are aligned to defined themes.
- Develops the strategy and tactics for the Events and Conference center at the Client (202pax auditorium and 200pax ballroom, as well as meeting room space). Manages internal events as well as revenue generating events.
- Integrates information and strategies with other departmental personnel in an effort to develop a seamless marketing and communications system.
- Serves as the marketing and communications point of contact for CC and Mubadala’s leadership.
- Part of the duties will also include serving in multidisciplinary committees.
- Leads the marketing and communications team including two Director level positions.
- Develops departmental strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Preserves and enhances the reputation of the Client.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field with proven experience in corporate communications and marketing is required.
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years in-depth communications / marketing experience is required.
- Minimum of eight (8) years managerial/supervisory experience is required.
- Ability to manage complex group processes using effective matrix management, negotiation and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to speak and write in English is required.
- Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred.
- Health care industry experience is preferred.
