Job description / Role
Our client, the NOC for Abu Dhabi, is seeking a number of experienced and highly technical Senior Drilling Engineers to work across several projects. These roles will be to work with one of a number of the ADNOC subsidiaries we are currently recruiting for.
Main duties of the role will be the planning and implementation of drilling engineering activities ensuring that wells are designed and drilled in a cost effective, safe and environmentally responsible manner, taking a lead role in the contracting and procurement activities in particular.
The job holder will also take the lead on risk assessments for field activities, serve as a lead member of the planning team, and will be involved in the tender and pre-qualification of vendors, keeping an active involvement in supply chain issues and budgeting. Supervision of junior engineers, implementation of new technologies and the provision of analysis reports will also be a regular feature of this role.
Requirements
Candidates must be educated to degree level, and possess market leading experience in the field of drilling engineering and operations, preferably including Horizontal and/or Multi Lateral Drilling. Candidates must hold a valid IWCF
In addition, candidates will be extremely strong in the areas of well planning, casing design and cementing design, and highly familiar with completions, financial operations and budgeting, including cost forecasting and estimation.
A proficiency in landmark drilling and planning tools must be demonstrable (e.g. DIMS, open well, well cat, well cost, compass, stress test and casing seat)
