Senior Finance Manager

Job description / Role

Our client is an MNC with a stellar reputation and strong presence across the globe. They have a highly active business in the Middle East that is involved is some of the major infrastructure projects across the region and they currently seek an experienced Finance Manager to join their Transportation business line.

The Senior Finance Manager has overall responsibility for the financial and reporting activities of the Transport business, and will actively support and assist management to deliver on the financial objectives. This includes timely and accurate reporting and analysis of financial data, providing timely financial information to the management, to set budgets and forecasts for the performance of the business including leading the finance function and providing oversight of commercial risk in conjunction with the Contracts Department. The business unit holds a number of complex contracting arrangements, and the Senior Finance Manager will be required to provide on-going finance leadership and proactively support commercial elements of the growth agenda.

The role reports to the divisional CFO and has a team working with them of 4 persons. The role also has a very strong operational dotted line to the sector Managing Director.

Requirements

- Experience of working in Transport sector
- MUST hold a European, US or Australasian passport for ease of regional travel. The is a mandatory requirement
- Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
- Active participant on large statutory boards and audit committees.
- Experience of leading annual reporting and planning cycles for a large business
- Experience of adding value in a commercially orientated environment
