Job description / Role
Our client has been responsible for providing international oil & gas trading activities since year 2000 and now has established subsidiary offices in ten countries, extending its reach around the world from the United States to Europe, the Middle East and Singapore. The company is growing and as such, now requires the services of a Senior Finance Officer to join the team.
Supporting the Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Officer is responsible for day to day bookkeeping of various administrative expenses, posting and invoicing aspects of purchase/sales transactions and related costs, inventory movements and initiating the payments associated with such transactions.
Primary responsibilities will include general accounting such as office expenses, issuance of debit/credit notes, data entry and credit control. Additionally the role is involved with Trade Accounting which will involve communication with Operations and Trading desks and gather, analysis and assorting various supporting documents.
Inputting data using SAP in order to create purchase and sales orders, good movements and cost accruals. Treasury will also take up 30 percent of the role including legal and compliance.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced individual with advanced SAP and Excel ability, a Degree in Accounts and Commerce from an accredited university. Ideally the job holder will come from an oil and gas or shipping background.
