Senior Graphic Designer

Job description / Role

Reports To: Regional Marketing Director

The Main Purpose of the role:
- Provide layouts for labels and packaging to ensure the correct company image
- Design advertising and promotional material to promote company and products
- Assists in maintaining the website
- Assist in market research for new products

The main areas of responsibility:
- Design different layouts for labels and packaging for new products as well as marketing material
- Update the website with new products and events

- Number of projects to be handled

Department interaction:
- Sales Department
- Procurement Department
- Colleagues
- Regional departments for updates

Flexibility in having to carry out a range of different tasks:
- Flexibility to carry out different projects on a daily basis as long as project deadline is met

Work allocation, review and approval:
- Allocated from Regional Marketing Director
- All work reviewed and approved by Regional Marketing Director

Decision making authority:
- Use of initiative to make decisions but all final decisions are made by Regional Marketing Director

Contacts made with others outside of Del Monte:
- Printers
- Distributors

Tools and equipment used:
- MAC for Graphic design
- Photoshop
- Acrobat

Unusual features of the job:
- Overtime required when working on exhibitions or if printing is delayed

Major Problems encountered when carrying out role:
- Change in priority
- Timing

Requirements

- Fluent Arabic
- 3D experience. Previous experience working on packaging is a plus.
- Digital experience.
- Marketing background
- Experience with design software such as illustrator and photoshop
- An understanding of how a MAC works
- Creativity
- Innovative
- Communication skills
- Use of assertiveness
