Senior Interior Designer
Salary: up to AED 25,000 based on Experience
Location: Dubai

Our Client, head quartered in India, has been in operations for over 30years and has earned the reputation of been one of the world`s leading interior solutions brand; dedicated to creating the most luxurious homes and corporate spaces.

Understanding their client`s needs and tastes, the highly skilled design team produce personalized styling to each product.

A team of over 1500 skilled artisans and craftsmen support the manufacture of furniture, fit outs and soft furnishings.

Due to their ongoing expansion and projects in the UAE we are seeking an experienced Interior Designer with experience in all aspects of design of Fixtures, Fittings, HVAC, Electrical and Mechanical equipment

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Manage the project through contractors, suppliers, laborers, etc
- Develop initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients (the brief) and setting project schedules;
- Understand clients' needs and the needs of the people using the building, developing design concepts in consultation with the client and establishing final briefs;
- Consider material and costs according to set budgets and negotiate project fees;
- Conduct feasibility studies for projects;
- Produce 'sample' or 'mood' boards for presentation to clients;
- Source products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing, and providing samples for clients;
- preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software;
- Survey buildings;
- Supervise work at the design stage and on site;
- Working closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on larger projects, with architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space, and with manufacturers and contractors;
- Occasional travel to India

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree with focus on interior design or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years experience with luxury / high end projects
- Possess excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of personnel
- Excellent skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3dMax, Sketch Up would be an advantage
- Experience within a furniture manufacture environment is highly regarded
- Candidates currently residing in the UAE or GCC will be given preference
- Ability to handle multitasking situations in the organization
- Experience within the GCC
