Swiss Bureau is seeking a Senior Interior Designer with 10 years of work experience. To join our dynamic team of creatives. The candidate must be highly experienced with Commercial Office interiors, passionate, and a creative problem-solver. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, can balance multiple project commitments, handle projects in various sectors, and keep up with deadlines and milestones.

Here's what you would be doing:

Time Management:

- Handle many projects at one time with extremely efficient time management
- Ensure all deadlines are met, following up with and managing the production team as necessary
- Be punctual for all internal and external meetings, understand everything that will be required for meetings and be well prepared without requiring prompting and guidance from upper management
- Ensure emails are responded to and actioned in appropriate time frames
- Understand when to delegate and do so effectively, oversee production, and take responsibility for quality of work produced.

Presentations:

- Look & Feel - Produce creative 'Look & feel' presentations that are relevant and bespoke to each client, emphasizing our understanding of them and their vision
- Concept and Schematic (DD & TD as needed) - Produce full presentations representative of Swiss Bureau, a complete story of our who we are and why we are the best fit for the client. Always displaying unique, creative solutions with a high level of attention to detail.
- Communication skills are a must! Candidate must be able to verbally present pitch presentations to potential clients in a confident and professional manner, instilling confidence in SBID's abilities to deliver their project
- Can you bring us to another level? Offer innovative and creative ideas that set Swiss Bureau projects apart
- Proactively ensure presentations are of very high quality, are aesthetically laid out, have a cohesive narrative and error-free

Design:

- Produce quality designs quickly and efficiently with few internal revisions prior to presentations
- Oversee the production of high quality, well thought out, innovative, highly creative, and physically feasible designs and 3D visuals that meet the client briefs and expectations
- Ability to communicate the design effectively through means other than renders
- Offer innovative and creative ideas that set Swiss Bureau projects apart

Project Management:

- Understand all requirements and steps to run a consult only or design & build project from beginning to end, proactively taking actionable steps accordingly
- Always know and understand the contractual deliverables, ensure they are all met, follow agreed programme without variations or ensure we do not do additional work above the contract without permission from projects team
- Undertake briefings directly from clients, ensure all relevant questions are asked and all information is gathered without prompting & guidance from upper management
- Always maintain a professional manner of communication with clients and the industry and maintaining a positive client relationship. Must possess an unparalleled skill to navigate challenging clients and situations appropriately and professionally
- MOMs - Produce accurate minutes of meetings with no input from management as and when needed
- Ensure all necessary documentation is recorded appropriately when required (i.e. Drawing registries, client approval documents, site observation reports.
- Coordinate and action technical aspects of a design that have an effect on the aesthetic or need incorporating into ID Packages. HVAC, IT and AV
- Organize timely QAQC sessions with other seniors/upper management of all final packages prior to official submissions

Deliverables:

- Produce efficient well thought out layout plans ensuring all industry standards are met and the functionality of the space is tailored to the client's requirements
- Oversee the production of accurate and highly detailed drawing packages with all information necessary to price and build from, as per industry and Swiss Bureau standards
- Select and specify appropriate materials that are fit for purpose and ensure all necessary information is incorporated into the specification package
- Identify any variations to scope or design as early as possible, and approach upper management with necessary documentation

Team Management:

- Communicate effectively with CAD/Revit team to ensure all necessary markups and instructions are well understood, avoiding the need for multiple reviews
- Lead and guide the junior team members when assisting on projects to ensure the work being produced is accurate and presentable while ensuring they are learning and growing
- Ensure all team members on your projects meet their assigned internal deadlines and ensure standards and quality is met

Site Supervision:

- Ensure all necessary shop drawings are reviewed and approved prior to manufacture
- Ensure all necessary mockups are reviewed in factory and meet a high standard of quality
- Ensure all post design documentation is recorded appropriately
- Snag sites effectively ensuring any errors of low-quality installations are noticed and documented
- Oversee construction phase with constructive design support ensuring PM's have all the information and support they need to complete the build as per the design intent
- Take charge of all the above with a proactive attitude!
