Senior Interior Designer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our interior design and build firm in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating innovative and functional commercial workspaces, and will play a key role in leading design projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage interior design projects from initial concept to final completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs, preferences, and budget constraints, and develop design proposals and presentations accordingly
- Create detailed design concepts, including layout, color schemes, furniture, fixtures, and finishes, and present them to clients for approval
- Produce comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and material selections, and ensure that they comply with industry standards and regulations
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of design plans and resolve any design-related issues that may arise during the construction phase
- Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies, and integrate them into the design process to deliver innovative and contemporary interior solutions
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers and support staff, and foster a collaborative and creative work environment within the design team

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering high-end interior design projects.
- Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and finishes, and their impact on interior design
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts and ideas to clients and project stakeholders
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing and functional interior spaces
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to deliver exceptional design outcomes
