Employment: Full Time

Day to day Operations
- Executes the key tasks of an audit on day-to-day basis operations in the Internal Audit department to ensure execution of the scope of work and achievement of audit objectives.
- Work in conjunction with the IA Senior management and team members for conducting test of controls for the identified audits and determine the control effectiveness, update the issue summary sheet with details of reportable issues as well as for executing Follow Up audits to ensure management action plans have been implemented to mitigate the risks.

Audit Methodology & Reporting
- Develop the Risk Control Matrix, Audit programs, Audit tests, working paper files for the audits executed in accordance with the Standards and populate the Audit Engagement Charter with the details of risks for the audits planned as per Risk Based Internal Audit plan.
- Participate in the process understanding meetings along with other IA division team members and interview process owners and appropriate personnel to obtain an understanding of the audited area and document processes using flow charts and process narratives.
- Provide recommendations in the internal audit report which are aligned with the industry best practices for the process being audited.
- Develop an understanding of the TDIC’s Internal Audit methodology and manual to ensure that the defined audit approach or procedures is followed / applied during the audit execution.

E-Governance Portal
- Use the e-Governance portal during the audit fieldwork and populate the portal with the results of the audit.

Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Follow all relevant section policies, processes, procedures of the Internal Audit Manual and instructions so that work is carried out during the audits and the results of the review in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Gain an understanding and to be abreast on TDIC’s processes, policies/procedures and Audit Universe.

EHS (Environment, Health and Safety)
- Complies with all relevant environment, health and safety procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Internal Audit function, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Remain abreast of developments within the industry and the area/process being reviewed to be able to identify current risks and make relevant recommendations for the improvement of controls in the reviewed process.
- Obtain periodic or regular feedback from the IA Senior management to identify areas of improvement opportunities in the audit execution.
- Perform all assigned audit duties in a manner that reflects the highest professional standards and complies with the guidelines of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
- Perform the audit execution in accordance with the quality levels adopted by TDIC’s IA Department and stipulated in its IA Methodology and Manual.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university majoring in a relevant field of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Auditing).
- Recognized professional qualification (or seeking qualification) in one of the following, CIA, CPA, or ACCA or having experience with Big 4 Audit Firms in the similar position.
- Minimum of 3 - 4 years’ experience in the field of internal audit.
- A combination of experience in a corporate environment and as an internal auditor at a Big Four Firm with focus on internal audits.
- Experience in utilising data analytics technology and methodology.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Have experience in the preparation and analysis of audit data through computer aided audit tools (spreadsheets, database).
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English and Arabic (read, write and speak).
