Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with an investment institution based in Abu Dhabi. The company has been responsible for creating a varied investment strategy, targeting positive capital returns through an expansive portfolio of highly diversified asset classes and investment management strategies. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to hire a Senior Investment Accountant.
You will maintain the records of the investment portfolios by completing all accounting entries and analysing and reporting the required information to stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will include producing the weekly cash book and treasury performance reports, verifying weekly pricing of investments and analysing any variances as well as reviewing trades to confirm accuracy in the books of records. You will also develop processes with respect to new investments and investment strategies.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be a Chartered Accountant and hold a Degree in finance, accounting, economics or commerce coupled with a minimum of 3 years experience within a financial institution. You should have a strong grasp of the principles of integrated cost and general ledger accounting systems and the complete accounting cycle. Experience in an internationally recognised investment or bulge bracket financial institution would be advantageous.
