Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a prominent retail banking company. Our client is looking to hire a bilingual (Arabic / English) Senior Legal Counsel to join their Dubai office.
Acting as part of the management team and reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, you will have 6 direct reports. You will have extensive and overall responsibility for a large business function.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have 10 years PQE gained from either a Top-Tier international firm or a prominent and reputable banking group. You should be based in the UAE and have extensive banking / finance and corporate commercial experience including advising on contracts, M & A, capital markets and general banking law. Our client has stated a preference for candidates who have experience with Sharia compliance. Arabic fluency (including legal drafting) is a prerequisite.
