We are looking for a senior manager in compliance to lead and oversee our compliance function in Saudi Arabia, ensuring that we comply with all relevant laws, regulations, standards, best practices in our industry as well as internal compliance. The role will also include support on compliance in other geographies like the UAE and Egypt to name a few. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance policies, procedures, and controls, as well as providing guidance, advice, and training to senior management and staff on compliance matters. You will also liaise with external regulators, auditors, and stakeholders, and manage compliance risks and issues.

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 10-12 years of experience in compliance, preferably in a similar industry or sector, and a thorough knowledge of the Saudi Arabian regulatory environment and compliance requirements. You should also have strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethics.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

- Identify and monitor MBC Group compliance requirements with external laws and regulations, and internal compliance with corporate by-laws and policies that address ethical and regulatory matters across multiple geographical jurisdictions.
- Operate as part of a Governance, Risk and Compliance Department and striving to ensure alignment between the verticals.
- Develop, implement, and review compliance policies, procedures, and controls in alignment with the company's strategy, objectives, and values, as well as the applicable laws, regulations, standards, and best practices in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt amongst other global standards.
- Provide compliance guidance, advice, and training to senior management and staff on compliance matters.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness and performance of the compliance function and the compliance culture, and report on compliance activities, issues, and risks to senior management and the board.
- Conduct compliance audits, assessments, and investigations, and ensure timely and appropriate remediation of any compliance gaps, weaknesses, or violations.
- Liaise with external regulators in coordination with the Legal Department.
- Manage compliance risks and issues, and escalate and resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the compliance field and the regulatory environment, and ensure compliance readiness and adaptation to any changes.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the compliance team, and foster a culture of compliance excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Experience and knowledge of compliance tool(s) to monitor, report, and remediate regulatory and policy requirements.
- Set up, manage and monitor the compliance function by augmenting the existing team, hire new members and liaise with the internal departments like Internal Audit and Legal.
- Report to various internal stakeholders on periodic basis in a structured manner compliance reports and updates.

- The candidate should have at least 10 to 12 years of experience in establishing and managing corporate compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical policies such as anti-bribery and corruption, related party transactions, conflicts of interest, anti-money laundering, etc.
- The candidate should Bachelor's degree or higher and professional qualifications that enable him/her to understand and operate the corporate compliance function (e.g. Governance Professional, CAMS, CCEP, CCB, etc.). Having a Law degree is preferred.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software and tools.
- Preferred to have experience in Technology, Media, and Telecom industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence and persuade senior management and staff on compliance matters.
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethics, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
