Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Under the direction of the Director, CI, the Senior Manager is responsible for managing their assigned portfolio of work and the associated staff. Key duties include overall portfolio management, resource capacity planning, resource line management and CI training build and delivery function.
- Manages the assigned portfolio of work to ensure optimal resource utilization
- Supports a culture of continuous improvement that values the ability of all caregivers to improve on the performance of the organization
- Responsible for tracking project impacts and overall return on investment for the assigned portfolio for inclusion in the portfolio review.
- Responsible for supporting the CI, Director in the on-going evaluation of internal and external CI training material development and delivery
- Coaches and mentors all CI caregivers to build capability within the organization in line with the individuals personal and professional development
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent CI methodology and framework across their assigned portfolio including the coaching of their team to follow the prescribed CI project lifecycle.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

- 8 years continuous improvement experience required
- 12 years overall experience
- Minimum 3 years direct line management experience
- Experience in a healthcare operations environment is preferred
- Experience in interfacing with front line and middle and senior management
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement, project management and change management methodologies, including tools and best practices
- High proficiency with standard computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project including Visio
- Data analysis skills including statistical software or data visualization tools
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to speak and write in English is required
- Undergraduate degree required (B.S. or BA)
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field preferred
- Lean/Six Sigma certification is required (may be substituted for significant experience)
- Project management certification is preferred
