Senior Manager, Financial Crime Compliance (Governance and Oversight) - MENAP

The Senior Manager, Operational Oversight supports the Head of Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), Governance and Oversight Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan (MENAP) in providing assurance that the implementation of the Financial Crime control framework in all countries in the region is in line with expectations.

Overall Responsibilities
* Undertake reviews of country frameworks on instruction from Head of Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Governance and Oversight in the region
* Assess whether risks identified in other countries/business could materialise elsewhere in the region
* Monitor developments in external financial crime risks, including trends. Develop responses to risks and trends. Implement communication plans for necessary changes
* Oversee special projects and other duties as assigned

Leadership & Management
* Implement and cascade the Group's policy, framework and procedures to country level
* Provide leadership to the regional FCC network as part of the regional senior FCC management team
* Lead or influence significant programmes of work in support of the financial crime compliance objectives, including initiatives under the Financial Crime Risk Mitigation project as and when regional / country implementation is required
* Assist in the development of an effective internal compliance culture by promoting the benefits of ethical business conduct and the benefits of compliance

Knowledge Development and Information Management
* Ensure that all core documents are maintained as up to date
* Monitor development in trends. Stay abreast of current regulatory developments in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and OFAC fields, analyze for applicability and develop & implement communication plans for necessary changes
* In conjunction with the Managment Information (MI) and Reourting function, contribute to the development of Information Management Management metrics and reports

Stakeholders Relations
* Coordinate management of audits/exams across business and function
* Support countries to prepare for audit/exams

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field of study, from an accredited institution or equivalent.
* Post Graduate degree will be viewed positively
* Association of certifed Anti Money Laudering Specialists (ACAMS) Certification preferred.
* 10+ years of experience within Financial Services, or Banking or Regulatory environment.
* Excellent organisational experience and very detail oriented.
* Experience with Financial Crime Compliance preferred.
* Experience in a Business Planning Manager (BPM) role would be preferred.
