A leading Semi Government Developer is looking to hire a Senior Manager – Internal Audit to be based in Abu Dhabi.

As the Senior Manager you will be managing and supervising the internal audit activities within the Operation Audit function as well as assisting the Director – Internal Audit in initiating and managing different audit sections of the company to foster appropriate control levels for business, operational investments, subsidiaries and financial risks primarily within the corporate departments and its operating entities.

Job Accountabilities include but not limited to;

Strategy
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Internal Audit department strategy by cascading it to action plans to ensure alignment of overall strategy.

Day to Day Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Internal Audit Corporate Processes & Assets function providing some guidance in the related area, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Evaluate auditors’ performance, providing on-the-job training, and counselling auditors to strengthen the person's knowledge/skills/development.

Audit Plan Implementation
- Plan, manage, execute, supervise and review effectively and efficiently all internal audit activities related to the reviews within the scope and strategy of the Corporate Processes & Assets function as mandated by the Internal Audit Plan through execution of planned internal audit engagements, special audits as may be assigned by the Executive Director – Internal Audit or the Audit Committee for unplanned internal audit engagements and results of other Internal Audit Reviews.
- Ensure that all assigned audits are completed within scope, budget and timing approved and according to the quality standards
- Evaluate the company practices to ensure compliance with policies, plans, standards, laws, and regulations that could have significant impact upon operations.

Risk Assessment
- Lead risk assessment activities in order to identify and assess risks within Corporate Processes & Assets, and ensure effective mitigation measures are recommended.

Audit Methodology and Reporting
- Review and approve detailed audit programs tailored to each audit to ensure that all specific tests or activities necessary for the audit are performed in a thorough and effective manner in order to ensure accomplishment of defined audit objectives.
- Review and record actions and plans taken by management to correct conditions reported by audit findings.

Stakeholders Management
- Collaborate with and supervise the work of outsourced consultants assigned to engagements related to the scope of the Internal Audit Corporate Processes & Assets function, ensuring efficient and effective utilisation of all manpower resources assigned to the function.

Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Manage the development and implementation of the department policies, processes and procedures to ensure fulfilment of legislative / procedure requirements and alignment to operations
- Identify, understand, and document processes and procedures surrounding internal controls. Continually monitor and update the assessment of the control environment, keeping abreast of significant control issues, trends and developments.

Requirements

- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Auditing or equivalent
- Recognized professional qualification in one of the following, CIA, CPA, or ACCA. Combination of CIA and CPA preferred
- 10 years of practical and management level experience in Corporate Processes audit
- A real estate development, hospitality exposure and experience preferred
- A combination of experience in a corporate environment and as an internal auditor at a Big Four Firm strongly preferred
