Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role of Senior Manager Marketing intelligence will be based in the Marketing Team and will primarily be involved in managing the collection, synthesis and distribution of market information that could be of strategic or tactical importance in a competitive environment. Developing the organization’s capability to predict and anticipate the marketing strategies through war games and scenario building exercises. Monitor market and industry trends to establish benchmarks and best practices. Analyze and anticipate competitor’s market strategies to enable proactive marketing initiatives. Conduct traditional and social media monitoring to identify MARCOM effectiveness and trends in online communities.

Further Duties involve:
- Understand information needs and develop a structured program for acquiring strategic and tactical market information through internal and external sources.
- Monitor and analyze competitor activities such as product features, pricing decisions, promotions, channel development. Develop a database of competitive information to fulfill adhoc information requirements.
- Conduct media analysis to identify the strength and weaknesses of competitor’s marketing communication campaigns.
- Conduct social media monitoring to identify consumer trends and hot topics in online communities.
- Monitor telecom industry trends in the region and globally to enable effective benchmarking and learning from industry best practices.
- Develop the organization’s capabilities to anticipate market trends & competitive behavior through war gaming and scenario building exercises.
- Develop standard procedures and processes for sharing strategic and tactical market information with key stakeholders in the organization to ensure marketing initiatives are based on market realities.
- Develop case studies and engage with industry analysts to gain access to the latest industry and market trends.
- Ensure ethical standards are enforced and maintained for all market intelligence activities.
- Provide clear direction, set targets, prioritize tasks and assign responsibilities for marketing intelligence specialists.

Requirements

The candidate will be a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing / Business Administration.

- Native Arabic speaker will be given an added advantage.
- 5-6 years of Marketing experience in UAE, with good market/industry contacts.
