Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This role is responsible for driving the production of all marketing collateral, providing creative and original literature, and using new and innovative tools to reach the target customer segments in the MEA region.

Scope of role covers MEA region as well as UK / ROW region back book.

Accountabilities/ Outputs
- A key member of the product and marketing function ensuring the team works effectively with the business to implement the regional strategy and support business growth.
- Develop and deliver the communications plans to support new proposition launches for the MEA region. Look for innovative ways to communicate with target customer groups and provide marketing literature/online solutions that are creative and that reflect the key messages for the products.
- Develop and deliver appropriate product campaign material to support the delivery of sales targets for existing products. Monitor success of campaigns against product financial metrics/targets.
- Develop literature, sales promotion, training and online solutions/material etc. through design, web services, art working and print by taking technical copy from a variety of sources (Product, Fund, Technical Services) for both new and existing contracts. This may also involve arranging translation into foreign languages. (End literature will be predominantly in English but certain regulatory requirements may require translation into other languages e.g. Arabic)
- Ensure that all material is consistent with the brand and complies, where applicable with local regulation.
- Creation of relevant customer proposition articles and presentations aligned to the company’s brand and promotional strategy.
- To work with external PR agencies to develop company’s profile in UAE and seek relevant media opportunities
- To work with Regional Sales Director to understand distributor needs. Lead and co-ordinate third parties to deliver quality local events to support brand and goals.
- Ensure adequate processes and controls are in place to maintain a compliant suite of marketing collateral for the MEA and “UK / ROW” regions. This includes maintaining a literature repository for all live and heritage literature including regulatory sign off’s etc.
- Manage and build relationships with third party local suppliers such as translators, printers, and design agency
- Accountable for managing the UAE and UK / ROW back book marketing and literature budget covering print, design, courier costs & merchandise.
- Partner with Insight manager to ensure we are designing in a way that resonates with our customers

Requirements

- Minimum 8-10+ years in in-house marketing and communications in the life insurance/financial services industry
- Local marketing/ promotional rules and regulations.
- Strong customer focus: pushes the customer perspective
- An understanding of the International marketplace, the offerings of competitors (local and offshore) and unique selling points of each.
- Brand knowledge: An understanding of the organization brand and how to ensure that it is incorporated and communicated effectively in all collateral.
- Strong communication skills: must be able to communicate effectively to meet audience and regulatory needs.
- Interpersonal skills: An ability to speak with and influence senior management and external stakeholders to deliver key projects.
- Design knowledge: An ability to work closely with technical artworkers and designers.
- Structured: strong analytical and creative skills in problem solving used to identify alternative and relevant approaches.

Ability to lead change - coach, develop and motivate team.
