Job description / Role
Leap29 are currently working with a major operator based in Dubai who now have a new opening for a permanent Senior Mechanical Technician to be based offshore on a 28/28 rotation.
The job scope for this position includes coordinating and completing fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of Mechanical equipment on an assigned production and/or remote well head platform. Mechanical equipment will include Gas turbines, compressors, diesel engines and pumps.
You will also be responsible for allocating work and delivering training to assigned Junior Mechanical Technicians, overseeing efficient shift handovers and upholding all platform safety standards and procedures.
Requirements
- 3-year Mechanical Diploma or Apprenticeship / UK City and Guilds / NVQ
- 4+ years` experience in installation maintenance and repair experience in an industrial environment
- Oil and Gas / Petrochemical experience
- Offshore experience - ESSENTIAL
- Rotating equipment experience (Heavy duty - turbines, pumps, generators, compressors etc.)
- Experience coordinating/mentoring junior Technicians
- Computerized Maintenance Management System - MAXIMO preferred
- Working knowledge Microsoft Office

The salary for this role will be approximately USD$4,500 per month dependent on experience and qualifications plus medical cover and return flights to your home country.
