Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading financial institution in the UAE are looking for Senior Officer - Agency Function to support the Head of Agency.

Role Purpose: To assist the Head of Agency unit in day to day responsibilities. The Agency Manager is responsible for managing the portfolio of agency deals assuring accurate record keeping and execution of all transaction activities. This role will act as the primary contact/coordinator for clients, lenders and business partners for moderately complex syndicated credit transactions for which we act as Investment/Administrative Agent, Security Agent, & Account Bank.

Role Responsibilities:

Business Strategy:
- To maintain & mange the existing Banks portfolio where we are acting as Investment & Security Agent, Account bank, Issuing & fronting bank in the syndicated funded & unfunded deals.

Risk Management & Controls:
- Carry out initial market checking and monitor credit worthiness of obligors/counterparties
- Review and comments on the finance document from Agency prospective.
- Responsible for seeing each transaction through assignments, waivers, consents, extension and amendments together with the Client, Participants, and Legal Counsel.
- Ensure the fulfilment of conditions precedent prior to the first drawdown.
- Ensure timely monitor & track all information & financials covenants for the facilities and share all information with banks group.
- Liaise with client, other banks and legal counsel on related issues.
- Handle any enquiry from both clients and participants.
- Responsible for documentation filing and delivery.
- Overlook the draw-downs, rollovers and repayment instructions prepared by WFO.

Compliance:
- Ensure that activities are in full compliance of group policies and processes including Sharia requirements, Central Bank regulations and other internal Legal and Compliance regulations at all times
- Ensure satisfactory internal and external audit ratings

Requirements

- Minimum 3 to 5 year experience within a local or international bank, with proven knowledge of the Islamic syndication documentation, and able to demonstrate a good understanding of the local and regional Syndicated market, knowing the Islamic finance documents structure and the procedures to complete and check the CP’s prior to funding, also knowing the mechanism and steps to complete the amendment/waiver requests.
