Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
To manage and coordinate Project activities across multiple streams and business as usual (BAU) activities, helping ensure deliverables are clearly and concisely documented, to the satisfaction of stakeholders. This role also works with stakeholders to negotiate and agree the best possible course of action when conflicting requirements emerge, helping ensure that projects or changes are properly impact assessed, and that all parties approve proposal and budgets prior to initiating work packages.

Project Management:
- Leads internal and external project activities to define and capture Business/IT related processes, requirements and scope.
- Drives and manages teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality criteria.
- Identify, track, manage and resolve project key issues, dependency, risks and mitigation actions
- Coordinates project team activities, including setting milestones to help ensure activities are actively managed through to fruition.
- Manages and provides work direction to one or more technical or clerical staff or acts as a team lead on designated projects or assignments.
- Identifies and manages program/project key dependencies, issues, risk and challenges.
- Manages activities to track and control activity progress against budget and timelines for management reporting.
- Participates in planning activities and produces detailed roadmaps, schedules and plans.
- Leads the consolidation of information into clear and concise correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.

Stakeholder Management:
- Manages stakeholders and when necessary acts as liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants and 3rd party organisations in the analysis, design, configuration, review, documentation and testing activities.
- Acts as point of contact for end users and technical teams, participates in meetings, reviews and communications to cascade information and mediate during conflicts.

Change Management:
- Drives the team and wider IT to identify, analyse, propose and document opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driven change.
- Key stakeholder and participant in maintaining and improving an overall IT change management strategy.

Testing:
- Coordinates User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functional Testing (FT) of new and changed systems and their integration.

Training:
- Manages, plans and assists in the training of professional and technical staff, as required during or after changes.

Requirements

- Bachelors or higher Degree in computers or information systems or related adequate experience
- A minimum 5 years Project experience
- A minimum 3 years Banking experience
