Job description / Role
The Senior Production Planner Is responsible for meeting customer delivery dates and manufacturing sequence targets
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the Master Production Schedule "MPS" for the production areas and analyze the overall performance for the production areas on monthly basis
- Set the monthly production plan and weekly execution for the purchasing, manufacturing, inspection and packing areas.
- Monitor the production output on daily basis and make sure it meets the plan and highlight any discrepancies.
- Create and maintain the master schedule that supports sales order delivery date
- Maintain the raw material stock which will be released by order for manufacturing
- Prepare production planning reports "Adherence, Utilization, Capacity etc." for the production holes.
- Communicate the manufacturing plan to logistics in order for them to take action accordingly
- Reporting the production planning adherence on daily basis for the 4 independent job owners
- Serves as principle liaison with the Customer Service Group to ensure high level customer service within production capabilities
Requirements
- AA/BS in Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent successful experience in a similar role.
- Experience 5-10 Years in Production Planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Project
- Proficient in manufacturing concepts
- Proven Project Management skills.
