Senior Project Architect - Construction Based

Job description / Role

• To be part of the supervision consultant with regard to architecture.
• Inspecting arch finishing tasks and schedules ensuring on time and on quality completion. Conducting inspections, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, letters and approving materials.
• Oversight of architectural engineering tasks and activities, including review of technical specifications, cost estimation and monitor allocation and execution of work to ensure all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled for delivering quality solutions
• Follow guidelines and systems for reporting at project site to track progress, project costs and quality.
• Follow standardized guidelines for day to day quality checks and site inspections and ensure that standard methodologies are applied.
• Serve as the main contact for all daily matters concerning design, quality and documentation of Architectural and Finishing works.
• Acquire a detailed understanding of contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, systems interrelationships, construction sequencing, HSE specifications and project schedules.
• Evaluate inventory of FF&E.
• Ensure that contractors adhere to all QA and HSE regulations on the assigned project.
• Assist the project management team in negotiations with contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedules and prepare recommendations on claims - approval or rejection on assigned project.
• Monitor Sub-Consultants and collaborate with other technical disciplines in the technical team.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Architecture.
• Overall 10 Years + work experience within the Construction sector
• Minimum 3 years pre-construction experience gained working in an architectural design studio
• Minimum 3 years post contract construction stage experience.
• Ideally has worked on a project through the complete life cycle from inception through construction and to a handover.
• Preferred Experience in Aconex
• Revit Capable
• Preferred Arabic and English speaker
