Senior Project Engineer

Job description / Role

The opportunity is there for a Senior Project Engineer to continue to support project engineering operations at a major refinery in the UAE.

The company is a national company within the UAE which focuses on refinery and downstream operations. It is a leader in oil refining and is playing a positive role in advancing the local economy and boosting income.

The project is a major refinery fulfilling the downstream requirements of the local oil and gas industry.

Your main responsibilities will involve:
- Develops contract documents and processes.
- Works closely with the Senior Development Engineer in developing project plans.
- Defines minor projects and plant changes for the Refinery.
- Produces feasibility and concept studies for Front End Engineering Design (FEED).
- Develops and implements engineering plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Applies improvement initiatives and learning across projects as part of the continuous drive for optimum and safe performance.
- Ensures work is captured as part of the integrated activity planning for the Integrity and Engineering Department.
- Ensures application of a Project Delivery Roadmap for projects, including project scope definition, cost estimate, project execution plan, and schedule.

- Assists the Engineering Development Section Head in preparing a monthly and annual Management Information System report including an expenditure profile.
- Knows the Company`s Health, Safety, Environment and Fire policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to project development areas of responsibility.

Requirements

- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent/ similar
- 5years` experience working in Senior Management/ Supervisory positions, with downstream Refinery / Processing Plants.
- Good knowledge of English both written and spoken
- Computer literate
