Senior Project Engineer - Transportation

We are now seeking an exceptional Senior Project Engineer - Transportation to join our award winning team based within our Abu Dhabi Office.

This critical role will be responsible for r esponsible for production, verification and assessment of technical designs, plans and associated documentation during the different stages of Infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering and QMS standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities

Paramount to success within this varied role will include;

- Carry out feasibility and optioneering studies.
- Develop and prepare design drawings, reports, design reports, technical and materials specifications.
- Prepare capital cost estimates, bills of quantities and project delivery schedules for assigned projects.
- Resolve complicated design problems using both manual and computer methods with minimal supervision.
- Develop new ideas or alter existing designs to meet special needs where no standard application will fulfill project requirements, with the approval of Project Manager.
- Assist in obtaining design approval from authorities/agencies.
- Maintain quality control and quality standards in all work output, checking computations, designs, drawings , plans, estimates and reports prepared for comprehensiveness, technical accuracy and sound application of engineering principles and standards.
- Master Planning for Mixed-Use Developments.
- Preparation of Access and Circulation Studies, Transportation Impact Studies and Transportation Master Plans.
- Experience with DoT / ITC and DPM in Abu Dhabi, Dubai RTA and other regional municipalities.
- Mentoring junior staff members.
- Responding to requests for proposals - technical approach and financials.
- Development and interrogation of strategic and micro-simulation transport models including VISUM and VISSIM.
- Using SYNCHRO, Sidra and HCS to assess intersection operation and develop improvement measures.
- Analysis of parking layouts including supply and demand calculations.
- Preparation and delivery of presentations to Clients and Approving Authorities.

Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 6 years career experience with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
