Senior Quantity Surveyor - Dubai, UAE
Senior Quantity Surveyor role is to support the site supervision team in delivering our services to the client, and mainly supporting the PM and RE with respect to all in all materials and quantities verification on site.
Senior Quantity Surveyor supporting a major infrastructure project in CH2M will be accounting for:
- Monitoring contractor’s progress and reporting to Resident Engineer
- Anticipation and warning on issues which may impact on targeted time or cost outcomes
- Review the contractor’s monthly payment applications and report with recommendations to RE.
- Measurement of the works for the purpose of payment
- Evaluation of claims and variations, Preparation of payment certificates, Monitoring of work and financial progress against the approved construction programme
- Evaluation of the cost and time impacts of changes and variations
- Assistance in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor for complex projects within the last 10 years, ideally in the Middle East region.
- Minimum Degree qualified preferable with a relevant qualification in QS.
- Relevant post-contract site supervision experience in the Middle East (infrastructure experience preferable)
- Large scale civil projects experience is preferred (roads, earthworks). Expertise in Post-contract work is ideal.
- Experience of FIDIC form of contract would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.
- Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.
