Job description / Role
* Oversee the construction site and manage the site construction teamreporting to the Project Manager
* Providing technical design solutions to any problems encountered on site with focus on the construction phases of development.
* Ensure the flow of the project is obtained by continued job site presence.
* Raise and/or resolve any project issues with client, contractors, and vendors
* Monitor progress of the work and facilitate expedition when necessary to obtain compliance with project schedules.
* Prepare/communicate reports of project progress to the project manager.
* Attend all job meetings.
* Value engineering & design optimization is a key to this role.
* Inform PM of pertinent and potentially controversial issues, and recommend and implement solutions to same.
* Work with all parties to keep the project on track relative to cost, schedule, quality, and performance
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Architect from a reputable institution.
* Minimum of 10-12 years or more of work experience in High End Interior Design and Fitout
* Proven and extensive experience in the site construction management and execution of interior fit-out projects for Hotels, Palaces or High End Residential projects
* Excellent writing skills to communicate and summarize complicated situations.
* Computer skills including spreadsheet application, AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project, Excel etc.
* Ability to establish priorities and a course of action for handling multiple tasks.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks
* Proven ability to operate under pressure.
* Demonstrates leadership capability and competence.
