Job description / Role
- Perform design of bridges, tunnels and other structures using the latest engineering software and design codes
- Perform review of design of bridges, tunnels and other structures performed by in-house staff and by external consultants.
- Prepare specifications, design reports and other related documents.
- Meet with Clients and Stakeholders for design review process
- Lead and supervise the junior staff and provide adequate guidance
- Perform interdisciplinary coordination with other disciplines
- Perform quality reviews
- Coordinate with construction staff to address site related design issues.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil, or Structural Engineering
- Preferably with Masters in Structural Engineering from a reputed university.
- Preferably a Chartered Engineer.
- At least 12 years experience in structural design of bridges for major roadway projects, and of pre-stressed concrete box girder bridges.
- Preferably with experience in design of structural steel bridges, and segmental bridges
- Preferably with at least 3 years relevant experience in the Gulf region.
- Thorough knowledge of AASHTO design guidelines and structural design software/applications.
