Senior Structural Design Engineer

Job description / Role

Our Client is a multi-national engineering consultancy with offices throughout the world. The well established Dubai office understands the local and unique demands made by the climate and brings international knowledge to offer MEP and Structural Engineering services to both private and public organisations.

A Senior Structural Design Engineer is now required to assist with the engineering design and the commercial management of projects across the region, whilst contributing to the management of relationships with clients.

The role will include but will not be limited to:
- Managing engineering design in accordance with client brief and project requirements
- Reviewing designs produced by junior members of staff
- Managing and coordinate the resource of projects
- Monitoring project’s financial performance against budget and completion
- Training and coaching junior members of staff when required
- Managing “Work in Progress”, invoicing etc
- Preparing submission and fee bids for new projects

Requirements

- Be degree qualified (minimum BSc)
- Have a solid understanding of relevant industry codes and best practice
- Possess a proven ability to plan and programme work
- Demonstrate experience in leading teams and developing others
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferably (but not essentially) have Middle East experience
- Preferably (but not essentially) by UPDA Grade A Registered

This is an excellent organisation to join a medium sized office with sustainable expansion plans over the next 2 years. Projects will include an exciting mix of healthcare, retail, residential, commercial and leisure projects – many of which are under way.

The company will provide a salary commensurate with experience + healthcare + flight allowance.
