Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Technical management of urban planning, design and master planning projects in Abu Dhabi, the UAE and the Middle East;
- Support in the preparation of technical bids and fee proposals for master planning and urban design projects and other major infrastructure projects where appropriate;
- Project management of medium and large scale projects involving multi-disciplinary teams;
- Will be required to travel within the Middle East region to projects in a variety of geographical locations, including Saudi Arabia.
- Will be responsible for the management of teams and meeting agreed budgets;
- Other duties associated with the main role and responsibilities will be requested from time to time.

Requirements

- Degree or postgraduate qualification in urban design;
- Minimum 10 years solid experience in urban planning, master planning and urban design projects;
- Preferable to have relevant experience in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, as well as the Middle East with an understanding of Emirati and Arabic urban morphology and culture, housing typologies, and/or appropriate design standards in the Emirate and the region;
- Ability to convey urban planning / design and master planning concepts and solutions in real time to clients and others using narrative, drawings, freehand sketches and other mixed media material.
- Sound knowledge of all necessary software programmes including as a minimum GIS, CAD, Photoshop, 3D Max, Adobe design suites, MS Office.
